(7/14/14) Change is the Only Thing That Has Stayed the Same.

radical week.

Found out about an hour after I wrote hope last p.day that my beloved mexican from the south would leave to train a newby from provo. So they sent us Elder Peterson from California to be in his place. And wait for it.. He's got 23 months in the mission! So I'll be sending two elders home in this same month. So that means the next transfer I'll be ''taking the riegns'' I guess you could say for the zone, and hopefully get a companion that has more than one transfer left in the mission.. let's hope

Absolutely unheard of for someone to be called as a zl for their first time and only stay a month.

but we know the good Lord giveth, and when you just start feeling comfortable.. the good Lord taketh.

We've got our 5 investigators interviewed and ready to go for this saturday. We'll have to walk to the stake center about 6 kms away to preform the ordinance. I hope the distance doesn't stop people from showing up. Baptisms are always the absolute greatest way to finish a week off.

Had our interviews with Pres. Corbitt Wednesday. Let me just say, you keep you eye on this guy - without debate he's going to get his turn as a general athourity. Just you watch. He's such an inspired leader. I have to keep reminding myself that he represented the church nationally as a spokesmen for the united nations charity event. He's like a church celebrity and at the same time my mission president.

I'm looking foward to getting to know him more.

But as for me I'm just wiped. We bounced around with companion exchanges like nobody's business this week. Lots of time on the bus, and over-worked legs, and getting home late late late is what i've had these days. But we have fun.

I wanna leave with a thought;

there's a scripture in corithians 10:13 that we share a lot.
It talks about how the Lord will never give us a temptation that we can't overcome. But I wanna change it up and when you read it, change temptation with a word of your own - such as: trial, calling, challenge or what you may. And just like Paul knew the words he was speaking to the corinthians were true, we can know with the same surety that our Father up there did not send us here to fail. We're all created in the image of him and entitled to heavens blessings but only according to our obedience. Remember he loves us and always looks out for us -- especially during the hard times.

rsmile a lot this week!
