This week we worked quite a lot with our pool of women that we are teaching. It's tough to say if they deserve the name of ''progressing'' investigators. They progress off the walls when we come by to teach, but always fail to be found in the congregation on sundays. It got the important reminder this week in my personal study that agency is the reason we're all still here. And even my beloved investigators can choose not to go to church. It's tough sometimes, but when they actually do come we praise the heavens all the day long!
It's wierd for me to think that more than two thirds the transfer's already done. It seriously feels like we just had our big get together that we have when we start transfers.
Spoke in church this last sunday. It's super awesome to look back and see how much more comfortable I am giving talks than when I was just brand new. I spoke about how sometimes (without knowing it) we are living far below our potential as members of the church. I shared the story from the Utchdorf's April 2011 talk he gave about the man who boarded a cruise ship and didn't know the price of food and all the activites aboard were included with the price of the ticket. I could really feel the spirit when I shared this last sunday.
And that is never a bad thing
So.. I'm not going to brag off the walls or anything about this one. But, for p day today we kind of went to
A WATERFALL. AAHHHHH, Again with the swimming temptation!!!! I was gonna just explode. Me and Bodily got the once in a lifetime day with some cascadas, and it was (I know i've said it in a couple emails) THE best day of my mission as far as p days go. I'll see if I can't put a photo on, my card has been really buggy the last couple times. But, yeah. I promise on the existence of snow that I did not swim. We instead, just took really dramatic pictures of us pretending to jump in. But yeah, It was a day that will never be erased.
Also this week, I read up on the Anti Nephi Lehites in Alma 24. It is awesome to see what faith those people had, and what solid testimonies they must have had as well. Ya oughtta read it when you have the time.
Thanks for being you
Have an amazing week
Elder Tate
